FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS TRAINING IN THE CONTEXT OF DISTANCE EDUCATION IN CANADA
Abstract
The article discusses the problem of foreign language teachers training in Canada in the context of distance education. It outlines the educational opportunities of distance training of teachers at Canadian educational establishments and answers the questions how the educational process changes in relation to traditional approaches to teaching and learning, what opportunities foreign language teachers can get through distance education programs and how the ICT changes the roles and relationships of learners and teachers.
