Abstract

It is very important to implement Self-assessment in ELT classes because it helps students monitor their own learning process as well as relate their learning to their individual needs. Self-assessment can help students’ realize that they are responsible for their own learning as well as trace their strengths and weaknesses, which gets them thinking about what they need to do next in order to achieve future progress in learning the target language.
